ESET is an Antivirus software that was used and managed by MFMSP

Installation

  • Create a client specific installer
  • Deploy installer to client machines
  • Log in to management portal and sync installed machines with the client's license key.

Uninstalling

  • Use the ESET Uninstaller to remove the program.
  • When prompted, enter the password "ExampleRemoverPassword!2024"

Creating a new Tenant

  • Log on to the ESET MSP Management Portal
  • Go to the "client" page
  • Select "add new client"
  • Enter the client's company name
  • Add licenses **ONLY ADD ESET PROTECT ENTRY ON PREM** licenses
  • Check license quantity
  • Add the client's company name as a tag
  • Hit "Save"

You may now sync with the admin portal and the license should appear on the list.

Changing License Quantity

  • Log on to the ESET MSP Management Portal
  • Select the client you want to adjust
  • Select "Activated licenses" see which devices are connecting
  • Right-click on the device name to remove a license from a device (remove licenses from any devices that have not checked in within the last 90 days).
  • Wait for the site to alert you that the license quantity has changed
  • Select "Licenses" under the client page
  • Adjust the license count to match the number of reporting machines

Suspending a License

  • Log on to the ESET MSP Management Portal
  • Select the client with the license you need to suspend
  • Select "Licenses"
  • Right-click on the license you want to suspend and select "Suspend"
