Close Three Tabs

At any given time I have a few dozen tabs open on each of my phones and a couple hundred open in about a dozen windows on my computer. I use Simple Tab Groups to organize my tabs in Firefox, but that doesn't mean I'm any good at paring down the number of open tabs I have.
"Close Three Tabs" is an effective technique for me to make my online life a little easier.
It's very simple to do - if you are helplessly scrolling, or if you are bored and looking for something to do, or if you're tab cycling and waiting for updates on socials, break that cycle and give yourself the task of closing at least three tabs in your current browser.
Why it Works
- It forces me to take a look at what tabs I actually have open, and to assess whether I'll ever really get to them.
- It pushes me into focus mode so I can more easily move onto a task (instead of doomscrolling) when I'm done closing tabs.
- It reminds me of things I was working on that may have stagnated and need to be looked at again.
- I am never going to bake that honey cake again and now I am free from the obligation of writing down the recipe.
